First class blog post
Hi, my name is Brian Mayzure, and I’m a Graphic Design major at Columbia College Chicago. Today is the first meeting of my Website Design I class. This is also the first post on my blog for this class. This blog is actually self-hosted on a subdomain on my own hosting account.
I’m well versed in web design. I learned HTML back in the 1990s, when it was in its infancy, and have watched it evolve through the years. I’m excited by the changes to the web in the last few years, including the strong push for web standards, the refinement and extension of CSS, and one of the best features of the last few years, web typography.
While I am well versed in web design, the one thing that I have learned is that there is always something new to learn. And I hope to learn something that I haven’t yet mastered.
